American Circuits is a family-owned business celebrating its 35th year in operation. We have a clear strategic plan that has led to steady growth (about 20% annually) while recently expanding to a new, modern manufacturing facility in southeast Charlotte near Matthews, NC.

We are looking for a Controller who can provide leadership and coordination of all company financials, budget management and accounts receivable / payable functions.

The person is a key member of our leadership team and will help drive key business outcomes by providing clear reporting and deep analysis.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions to provide leadership a clear picture of the company’s performance.
• Maintain financial records.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
• Execute daily financial operations including managing cash flow and tracking of expenses.
• Provide analysis and forecasts for senior leadership while completing cost accounting via learning, and eventually understanding, our manufacturing operation.
• Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and investment decisions.
• Awareness and stay up to date on local, state, and federal regulations.
• Design, establish, and maintain office structure and procedures to effectively accomplish the company’s goals and objectives.
• Ideally would be lead Human Resources associate: assist with recruitment, lead employee on-boarding and have general pulse of the company culture. Complete payroll (automated; coordinate with outside vendor). As we continue to grow, this function would be made into a separate position.
• Serve in leadership role in planning and policy-making decisions.

PREFERRED CANDIDATES WOULD HAVE:

• 4-year Accounting degree.
• Minimum 5-10 years business accounting and audit experience. Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Extensive QuickBooks experience.
• Understanding of company financial health and strategies.
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
• Ability to lead an office, and make it their own, without direct authority.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Deep understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The ideal candidate should have the ability to design internal controls to prevent fraud and errors, and ensure compliance with laws, regulation.
• Cash flow management to ensure obligations are met including managing working capital, overseeing receivables/payables, and optimizing liquidity.
• Deep understanding of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Awareness of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Detailed knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
• Ability to identify issues before the occur and improve financial processes, and implement systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• We desire someone who loves people and teams (e.g., office management, people / HR tasks, etc.) as much as they love financial accounting and analysis.

We are looking for an accountant who can provide leadership and coordination of all company financials, budget management and accounts receivable / payable functions.

The person must be able to ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles, and ideally, could grow into a finance manager or controller. Ideally, the person would have additional focus on office and people management from the start.

Position: Electronics Solderer

American Circuits Inc. is a contract manufacturer located in Charlotte, NC. Since 1990 we have been providing electronic manufacturing services (EMS) and Printed Circuit Boards (PCB’s) and assemblies to multiple industries. Position summary:

Electronics Solderer is an integral part of a team tasked with timely production of quality electronic assemblies. Responsibilities include soldering, preparation, installation, inspection, testing, repair, and any other tasks required in the manufacturing process.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of soldering experience required.
• Must have excellent hand soldering skills with through hole and surface mount components including fine pitch and 0402/0201 component sizes.
• Must be able to perform visual inspection of solder joints per IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 workmanship requirements – past or present IPC certification is a plus.
• Has ability to work in a fast-paced environment with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Has a conscientious and cooperative team player attitude.
• Has ability to read Bills of Materials and follow manufacturing instructions.
• This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4pm. Overtime may be required including starting early, staying late, and or working Saturdays.
• Must be a US Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident.
